Youth Pastors - Gideon and Lacy Andersson

My wife and I are incredibly honored and excited to be apart of this church, being able to serve this up-and-coming generation and pastor them to grow closer to God. We love ministering to the students, both junior high and high school. Our hearts are with this age group as they go through these critical times in their lives.

 We have been on a pretty incredible journey that led us here to Rose Heights in Tyler, TX. I was under one youth pastor my whole life, junior high to high school and after graduating I did 2 years of Master’s Commission under him. I followed him to California when he took a new youth pastorate in Modesto. It was here that I met my wife, Lacy. We were both doing a youth pastor internship and after some pursuit on my part and some accepting my quirks on her part, SHE AGREED TO MARRY ME…WOOHOO!!!

              Our first ministry position found us in Walla Walla, WA (yes it is a real place) where I was the youth/worship pastor. After 2 ½ years we went to Las Vegas where I was the associate youth pastor for a year. Once that season was coming to a close, God was orchestrating our steps and through and incredible turn of events, we found ourselves in Tyler, TX accepting the position of youth pastor. And we are extremely excited to be here…and yes we love it here. Oh and we don’t have the accent…you do ;)

Our heart is to see these students grow in their love for God, their understanding of the word and worship, their commitment to purity and their becoming a strong active member of the family of God. We thank you for that opportunity!
