Executive Pastor - Bo Richardson

It was June of 1976 that my wife, Penny, and I were married. Both of us were saved at an early age and have spent our whole lives in church.

In 1988 we began to feel God calling us to do more with our lives for Him. That's when we felt the call to come to Rose Heights. Though we lived an hour away we committed to one year of training in preparation for ministry. Every Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night we loaded up our two daughters, Amber and Tara (then 10 & 7), and headed to Tyler.

In May of 1989 we began an internship with Pastor Anderson, who was then the Children's Pastor, training in children's ministry. After a year, as we were beginning to talk with other churches about a ministry position, Pastor Anderson moved to assistant pastor creating an opening at Rose Heights.

In June of 1990 I became the children's pastor and Penny and I were privileged to serve the children of Rose Heights for the next 8 years. In September of 1998 I left the staff of Rose Heights to pursue other opportunities, but my heart never left the ministry.
