We’ll also have monthly hangouts and fun events! We all need a group of friends to do life with, people to count on! Don’t battle alone. So, reach out and join us today!
Fall Retreat Details!
We’re leaving for Beavers Bend THIS FRIDAY, September 24th and will return Sunday by 4 pm!
We will have two different departure times to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules. One group will leave at 2 pm from the Rose Heights Church parking lot, and the other group will be leaving at 6:30 pm. I know this is a bit later than we had planned, but there were several that needed us to wait for them. Don’t worry — we’ll save pizza for you!
IMPORTANT INFO: PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR LUGGAGE AT THE CHURCH BY NOON ON FRIDAY! This will allow us to load the trailer early and make sure we have plenty of room for you. The trailer will leave with the 2 pm group. If you cannot get it to the church Friday at noon, you are more than welcome to drop it off on Thursday from 8:30 am – 6 pm. Call me at 903-253-7506 if this is a problem.
What to expect!
Friday evening, we’ll settle in at our respective cabins, hang out, and bring in amazing pizza from The Grateful Head restaurant for dinner. Saturday, we’ll start the day with a great breakfast and a group devotional, after which we will go on an awesome 4 mile kayaking trip! That evening we’ll fire up the grill, build a massive campfire, roast marshmallows, make S’MORES and do live worship around the fire — it’ll be great! Then, Sunday, we’ll have a good breakfast and short devotional, make picnic lunches and head over to the state park area. We’ll come on home that afternoon, arriving back in Tyler around 4 pm.
The cabins are incredibly nice, with hotel-like amenities — even hot tubs and pool tables!
