Missions & Outreach
That’s the Heart of Missions!
The Rose Heights Missions Program seeks to honor God in obedience by ministering to the needs of people both locally and globally. The ministries that we support reflect our desire to reach this world for Jesus Christ by partnering with various missionaries and organizations on all six inhabited continents.
Helping those that are helping others! Rose Heights doesn’t just talk about reaching out to our local community, we are active partners in making that happen. By supporting a multitude of local non-profit organizations that are strategically meeting area needs, we tangibly help our neighbors in a way we could never do on our own. We’re making a real difference in our own community by providing vital resources and volunteers to our non-profit friends!
Help us do more! Volunteer your time and continue to support your Rose Heights Missions & Outreach program.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
People Helping People is an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ to our church members and local community. Often, we are contacted with practical needs such as an elderly person needing their lawn mowed or yard cleaned or a request to assist a single mom or family with disabilities /injuries to move items inside a home or even to a new home. Recently we have been notified of multiple families going through long term sickness such as Cancer treatments that needed some practical ongoing assistance such as grocery and medicine drop off or yard and housework. These would not be scheduled regular needs, instead you would indicate your interest and you would be notified through text or email when a need is presented, and you would let us know if you have the ability to assist at that time.
Rose Heights has partnered with Clarkston Elementary to encourage teachers and students. Some opportunities available to make a difference in this local school is through reading volunteers, Scripture-based teacher treats, staff lunches, school supply drives and a variety of other ways. If you or your small group has a heart to encourage our hard-working teachers and students then let us know! These service opportunities can be one time or ongoing opportunities.
Every month we will have a planned outreach to partner with a local nonprofit or ministry. A typical outreach could look like serving at the food bank or with our homeless community. It could also be collecting needed items that a ministry has requested. You, your family or small group can volunteer to make a difference in our local community.
The Rose Heights Missions Program seeks to honor God in obedience by ministering to the needs of people both locally and globally. We will offer yearly short-term mission trip opportunities in both the US and Internationally. If you have a desire to stretch your faith as you selflessly serve others this would be a great option for you!
